What’s the Club’s Purpose?

        The Howard County Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. (HCRPC) was created to encourage organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States resident in our community, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. The club is also committed to develop those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance that are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

Who’s Eligible to Join?

        Any citizen of the United States, eighteen years of age or older, is eligible to apply for membership in the HCRPC. All new applicants must be a member in good standing of the National Rifle Association or agree to apply for membership in the National Rifle Association within seven days of applying to the HCRPC.

        New members who wish to receive a Range Badge that allows them to use the Associated Gun Clubs (AGC) of Baltimore Range Facilities (also called the Patapsco Ranges) in Marriottsville, MD, must participate in a range safety training session taught by the HCRPC’s Range Safety Officer at the AGC Range Facilities.

What Are the Fees?

        Annual Membership Fee $25.00 (Less $5.00 for E-Mail Newsletter Delivery)
        New Member Initiation Fee $10.00
        Annual AGC Range Fee (set by AGC) $150.00
        Membership in the National Rifle Association $35.00 (1 year)

When Does the Club Meet?

        HCRPC holds its Annual Meeting in January and quarterly meetings April, July, and October on the second Sunday of the month, beginning at 6:00 PM. These meeting are typically held in Messick Hall at the AGC Range Facilities. The Club also sponsors monthly shooting events at the AGC Range Facilities. See our Schedule of Events page.
